The book : A large stone, carried by the swollen river, impales itself with momentum on the most beautiful plane tree on the riverbank and opens a hole in its trunk. The tree loses its slender trunk that people, animals and birds admire. After a while, the wound is about to close and the plane tree seems to regain its magnificent beauty. However, the stone decides to sacrifice it, in order to fulfill the dream of the stone that hurt it and with which they have become friends in the meantime. Animals and birds insist that it will not succeed and will unjustly sacrifice its enviable trunk. However, it turns out that they were wrong, because with faith and patience the tree achieved something it wanted very much.
The series : In order for children to have a healthy social life based on effective relationships, they need to cultivate empathy, the ability to put themselves in the shoes of others, to understand and feel things in the same way that another person experiences them.
